Iranian missile strikes cause ‘unprecedented disruption to life’ in Israel

For the first time in its history, Israel is facing sustained ballistic missile attacks, resulting in a level of disruption previously unseen since its inception. Over the past six days, Iranian missile strikes have hit residential areas and reportedly damaged sensitive military and strategic sites.

More than 1,300 Israelis have been displaced into hotels after their homes were rendered uninhabitable, while over 18,000 damage compensation requests have been filed. Though past confrontations with groups like Hamas and Hezbollah were deadly, this direct confrontation with Iran has introduced a new scale of destruction and devastation for the Israeli public.
