Erdogan: Iran acted in ‘self-defense’ against Israeli ‘state terrorism’

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has described Israel’s recent strikes on Iran as “crazed” and tantamount to “state terrorism,” saying Tehran’s military response was “natural, legal and legitimate.”

Speaking before lawmakers from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), Erdogan added that Turkiye supports a diplomatic resolution to the crisis and expressed Ankara’s readiness to play a mediating role to de-escalate tensions.

However, Turkey keep supplying Israel with fuel for its military operations.
