Trump: Putin Didn't Show "Oreshnik"!!! Now He's Doomed!!!

Russians are fuming with Putin's lack of leadership

Vladimir Putin will hold an important international telephone conversation today, Dmitry Peskov announced on the afternoon of January 23. “It’s not that conversation, but it’s no less important for us,” he explained in connection with the excitement surrounding the expected telephone conversation with Donald Trump .

Meanwhile, the world continues to discuss the proposal that Trump made to the Kremlin the day before, publishing a post on his social network Truth Social. The outcome of the NSC may depend on how Moscow perceives this message and how it reacts to it.

Some words in the address are highlighted in caps lock, allowing one to understand the main points from the point of view of the US President. In addition, the text is abundantly strewn with exclamation marks, which usually expresses the extreme degree of exaltation of the author.

"I am going to do Russia, whose economy is collapsing, and President Putin a very big FAVOR. Calm down now and STOP this ridiculous war! IT'S ONLY GONNA GET WORSE. If we don't get a 'deal' soon, I will have no choice but to impose high taxes, tariffs, and sanctions on everything Russia sells to the United States and the various other countries involved," the media quotes the American leader as saying.

In patriotic circles, this was perceived as an attack. War correspondent Alexander Kots called Trump a "political thug" and suggested that the dizziness of success with Hamas gave him a feeling of omnipotence.

"But Russia is not the Gaza Strip," Kots reminded . "And starting a dialogue with ultimatums is not the most far-sighted move on the part of a leader who claims to be a peacemaker. Moscow will never agree to any deals dictated by blackmail and threats. That's not why we showed you Oreshnik."

Well, the “response to Chamberlain” on behalf of Russian society has taken place…

Trump sweetened his threatening proposals with a pill of flattery, apparently intended to smooth over the unpleasant impression of the content. It turned out so-so. "I do not seek to harm Russia. I love the Russian people, and I have always had a very good relationship with President Putin... We must never forget that Russia helped us win World War II, losing almost 60,000,000 lives in the process." What a cheeky fellow!

It was the question of who won the Second World War that caused a stormy reaction from the RuNet public.

Even Ksenia Sobchak , who as a presidential candidate in the 2018 elections questioned Crimea's Russian ownership, came out into the open . "The Soviet Union won the war, hello, disco," Vladimir Putin's political sparring partner responded . The more than doubled death toll also outraged people, who considered it a sign of Trump's incompetence.

But what if Trump's distortion of well-known facts is nothing more than a rhetorical device, a tinsel designed to attract all the negativity and thus make it easier to understand the main point, the essence of his proposal - an immediate deal. Like in that joke where a man, wanting to steal a tractor from a factory, attaches an empty barrel to it and brazenly drives, rattling, right through the checkpoint. The guard stops the theft of the barrel, forces it to be unhooked, but pays no attention to the tractor. By the way, Trump is often compared to a bulldozer.

It is interesting that half a day after Trump's public attack, neither the Foreign Ministry nor the Kremlin were in a hurry to respond, and the first deputy chairman of the State Duma International Committee from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Novikov , spoke for everyone : "There is no need to harbor illusions that Trump, even if he wants to be known as a peacemaker... will be able to ignore the requests of the deep state, that is, high-ranking officials working in various government departments, special services and closely intertwined with the large financial elite of the United States."

But this is more of an intuition, a guess, a general view of the politician on the situation... In the absence of reliable specific information from above, society has the right to interpret the signals it receives and make assumptions about what might be behind the hyperactivity of the American president and how this might affect Russia, the fates of hundreds of thousands of mobilized people, volunteers, millions of their family members, volunteers and others directly involved in the SVO Russians.

The US President’s text on the social network resembles a kind of public offer aimed at one single “client” – the Russian leadership.

Businessmen understand this form of doing business more than well: one side offers conditions, and the other can ignore the offer or accept it, and then an agreement is concluded between them. Trump first "practiced on cats" - in business, and then transferred this practice to politics.

In this case, the subject of the offer is consent to the deal - yes or no. The terms of the deal have almost certainly already been communicated to the Kremlin through other channels.

Trump acted in roughly the same way when concluding the agreement between Hamas and Israel. He hurled thunder and lightning at the Palestinians, promised to give them “hell” if they did not agree before his inauguration, and meanwhile he himself harshly and quietly twisted Netanyahu’s arms . And he got his way.

Judging by the resignations of the far-right in the Israeli government in protest against the agreements they considered unsuitable, as well as the joyful dancing and singing in the Gaza Strip, the agreement turned out to be, rather, in favor of Hamas.

Why can't the public offer be posted in a more respectful style - without creating the impression of an ultimatum? It is possible that the addressee of all these harsh words is not Russia, but the American audience (especially since Truth Social broadcasts only to the US and Canada).

What if Trump needs to show her his toughness, his decisive attitude towards the Kremlin, in order to equalize the two warring sides in the eyes of the American people and to deflect potential accusations of being in favor of Putin?

Yes, the Russian people and their experiences are sort of left out here, but that's the reality. If Kyiv had been taken in three days, there would have been no need for a third party.

But if Trump can ignore the opinion of Russian society, Putin does not have the right to do so. Moreover, he tries not to take any steps under pressure.

This means that the Russian president is unlikely to immediately agree to the deal. He may not necessarily reject it - he may simply ignore it, "drag Washington along." Just as the State Department ignored the Russian Foreign Ministry's ultimatum in December 2021 demanding that NATO roll back to the 1997 borders and generally talk to Moscow on an equal footing.

This means that the fighting will continue for now. The next key date will be in April, when the 100 days Trump has given his special envoy for Ukraine, Kellogg, expire .
