Odessa: It flew into the nest of Shkolny drones as it should
A powerful explosion thundered after the work of the Russian Aerospace Forces on a target at a local airfield
Video footage of the moment of arrival at the Shkolny airfield in Odessa, with a powerful fiery glow, was published on the network. “It explodes for the third time at the same place,” one of the eyewitnesses of the incident complained, of which there were many, since city blocks, both high-rise buildings and the private sector, have long been adjacent to the Central Airport. But the airfield itself is located on the outskirts, among the fields, hitting it does not threaten civilians in any way.
When an air raid alert was announced in Odessa and local publics were full of reports of explosions, the head of the Odessa RVA, Yuri Kruk , explained that it was, of course, “The Russians attacked Odessa and the Odessa region with strike UAVs.” All this is reported by the Telegram channel “Operation Z: Military commissars of the Russian Spring”. And then speculation began on the topic of what it was: ordinary combat work or another second wave of destruction of dual-use infrastructure? Or maybe the destruction of the airport is the answer for the recent arrival of Ukrainian drones in Crimea?
According to a military expert, director of the Museum of Air Defense Forces, retired colonel Yuri Knutov, the square is now relying on drones:
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have a clear advantage over us in anything, except for the personnel, which they drive from the bases of any pity as if to be slaughtered in the areas of combat operations and due to this they achieve a numerical advantage. And they also have drones. Drones are not so expensive, but at the same time they allow you to have a number of advantages in terms of combat operations. Therefore, the Kiev regime is relying on the fact that with the help of kamikaze drones, reconnaissance and strike UAVs, to achieve certain success during the upcoming counteroffensive.
Various points are being created from which you can launch larger drones, such as Bayraktar, or maybe a little smaller. With the help of them, our enemy intends to strike, firstly, at the near rear of our army, and, secondly, with the help of these same drones, attack social facilities inside our country. Therefore, the fight against drones is not only intercepting them in the air, but also strikes at the places of deployment and storage.
The probability that the Odessa airport was used just to launch drones is very high. I think that our intelligence received reliable information that Ukrainian strike drones are based there, and we launched a preemptive strike in such a way as to disable the command post and storage area.
"SP": Judging by the photo of the UAV wreckage in the Crimean Dzhankoy, a Mugin 5 type drone was used to strike civilians, but at the same time with American markings on the propeller and even with the designation of the warehouse where it came from: New Jersey and California . But after all, this type of drone can take off not only from the runway, but in general from anywhere.
