6,000 soldiers of the Wagner PMC group and 20,000-30,000 recruits are fighting in Bakhmut. This was announced to US lawmakers by General Mark Milley, CNN reports.

“They are fighting in Bakhmut. This is about 6,000 real mercenaries and another 20-30,000 recruits that they recruited,” Milley told the House Committee on the Armed Forces.

In the central districts of Bakhmut, Wagner continued assaults towards the administration complex on the west bank and attempts to move towards the center from the AZOM industrial zone. From the south - pressure on the southwestern quarters to the monument to the pilots, writes Rozhin.

The operational environment of the APU grouping is preserved. All attempts to unblock the road from Clock Yar under the fire control of PMCs ended in failure. A potential de-blockade offensive never took off, hence the talk of using some Western technology near Artyomovsk to change the dynamics of operations.

The saturation of the Bogdanovka, Khromovo, Krasnoye sector with transferred reserves allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to slow down the movement of PMCs to the west and delay the formation of the boiler.

In the event of the loss of any of their settlements, the situation for the enemy grouping will become catastrophic. In awareness of the risks, the West proposes to withdraw from Artemovsk, so as not to expose the troops to a threat in the face of off-scale losses.
